Lae youths urged to stay away from crime

Youths in Lae have been urged by police to stay away from criminal activities.

Lae Police Boss Anthony Wagambie Jnr said this was after six suspects in separate robberies were shot as a result of involving themselves in an attempted armed holdup.

"Lae police have strategized policing to deal with the increase in criminal activities further adding that criminals will be caught and dealt with by the police."

Business and the public in Lae have been assured that police have planned operations to cater for their safety.

He adds that Lae police will continue to work hard to ensure public safety in the city.

“I have repeatedly sent out warnings and I will continue to repeat these same warnings over again."

"There is a time for everything,” Wagambie said.
