Kemabolo rugby finals underway

The Kemabolo Rugby Football League Grand (KRFL) competition will have its grand finals today.

Located in the Rigo district of the Central province, hundreds from nearby villages are expected to turn up to Kemabo village to watch what KRFL President, Lega Kikima says will be a big grand final for fans and sponsors.

In the main game in A Grade division, the Laugau Roosters will go up against the Kino Rabbitohs.

Kikima said the Roosters are highly favoured to win with their season winning record but says the Kino Rabbitohs may prove them wrong with their experienced pack.

“Larry Gulu and  Kalogo Tau are the players to watch for the Rabbitohs. They have a sneaky fullback in Raho Gima.

“The Roosters have a fast backline led by Robert Maroa with his young brother Gabriel Maroa Junior.

“They also have Namoga Gadei who is one of the most instrumental attacking half backs,” said Kikima.

He confirmed that the presentations will take place after the grand final.

“I’m very excited to see this event come to pass because it will mark a milestone for the KRFL.

“This is just the start and I hope the KRFL will eventually have some of its players advancing into bigger leagues in the country.

“All interested leagues, communities, fans and sponsors must come along and witness the grand finals,” said Kikima.
