East Coast Highway in Milne Bay Province will see an K89.5 million makeover.
Governor-General Sir Michael Ogio executed on behalf of the State the contract of the upgrading and sealing of the East Cape Road from Yalua to Kehelala.
The road works will cover two sections from Yalua to Divinai Bridge (approximately 25.6km) and Divinai to Kehelala (approximately 25.6km).
The contract will be jointly funded by World Bank (78 percent) and the National Government (22 percent).
China Overseas Engineering Group Co. (COVEC) was awarded the contract.
