Janet Jackson is expecting her first baby at 49

Janet Jackson is said to be pregnant for the first time at age 49.

The 'Rhythm Nation' singer is expecting her first child with her husband Wissam Al Mana, reports Entertainment Tonight.

Digital Spy has reached out to Janet Jackson's representatives for comment on the matter.

Just last month, Janet told fans she was officially postponing her 'Unbreakable World Tour' so she could start "planning [a] family".

"Please, if you could try and understand that it's important that I do this now," she said in a statement to fans. "I have to rest up, doctor's orders. But I have not forgotten about you. I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can."

Janet started her tour last September, but it has not run smoothly since.

She postponed the 2016 leg to have surgery and asked fans to pray for her - and later had to deny reports that she was suffering from throat cancer.

In March, she cancelled all dates on the UK leg of the tour just weeks before they were due to take place, leaving her British fans very upset in the process.
