Hekari slot 4 past Rapatona

A double to Koriak Upaiga in the second half secured an easy 4-0 win for Hekari United over PKA Rapatona, in the first of today’s Telikom National Soccer League double header in Port Moresby.

Rapatona were put under pressure to defend early in the game as Hekari looked certain to get first points on a number of occasions.

Hekari made it 1-0 in the 37th minute when Leo Moli scored to put his side in front just before half time.

Hekari continued to dominate possession in the second half as Rapatona struggled to find answers to stop the onslaught.

Tempers flared from both sides with Rapatona and Hekari being awarded three yellow cards each for foul play.

Upaiga got his first in the 68th when he chipped the ball from just outside the penalty box that saw it sail over the goal keeper and into the net.

Goal number two for Upaiga came off a solo effort that showed skill and power as he powered the ball through to make it 3-0.

It was 4-0 close to full time thanks to Barry Mansale who scored off a set play from a penalty kick outside the penalty box.
