Go Green annual school clean up is here

Bank South Pacific (BSP) will embark on one of the biggest Go Green clean-up events yet, involving hundreds of students across Papua New Guinea and five Pacific Island nations.

Friday November 13th - is when the BSP Annual Go Green School Clean Up Day will be held.

The clean-up will be held across PNG, and in parts of Fiji, Solomon Islands, Cook Islands, Samoa and Tonga.

Participating students will be educated on the importance of the environment and how they can be responsible.

After the pep talk the students will put theory into practice and get their hands dirty by cleaning their school communities.

The community is free to join local schools that have already registered.

Teachers, parents and members of the community are encouraged to lend a helping hand in keeping the environment clean, green and healthy, by teaching and also setting an example for children to follow.

Since 2010, BSP has hosted this Annual Go Green event in PNG, Fiji and Solomon Islands and 2015 much bigger with Cook Islands, Samoa and Tonga joining the BSP family.

It is leading this worthy cause and providing litter bags, gloves, t-shirts, caps, wrists bands and bumper stickers.

Merchandise aside, it is the message that counts and the 2015 theme is “Our Place, Our Planet, Our Responsibility”.

And as the leading banking and financial services provider, it shares a commitment to build better communities
