Five picked up for fighting

Central highway police picked up five Rigo men for fighting at the Raburogo betelnut market yesterday afternoon.

The men were allegedly high on marijuana and harassing villagers who were trying to sell betelnut at the market.

Central police commander Laimo Asi says the men all have prior records for disturbing the peace at the market area and were arrested last year as well for fighting.

They have been detained at the central police station in town and will appear in court for mention today.

Asi says they will also be charged for  consuming drugs as well as threatening and using intimidating words.
