EHP police urge victims to report clearly

Eastern Highlands Police are calling on victims of police brutality to be accurate in their reports so that the policemen and women can be dealt with under the rule of law.

This is due to the increase of police brutality complaints that have been reported to the Goroka Police Station over the past week on a daily basis.

Provincial Police Commander Superintendent Alex N’Drasal says the public complainants must be accurate instead of just providing general statements for police to work with.

The people of Eastern Highlands have been urged to make sure that if they are to lay any more complaints, they have to make sure that they have accurate information of the location, the time of incident including the police vehicle.

That information will then help police to identify the officers who are giving the force in Eastern Highlands a bad name and they can be dealt with accordingly.
