DWU students enroll online

Divine Word University students in Madang began enrolling for studies electronically on Monday.

The students are using University 10 – an information management system – that the university acquired recently.

The University 10 system requires the students to enter their information into the computers for processing and verification.

Students who do not meet the enrolment requirements like non-payment of the on-registration fees are automatically rejected from proceeding with the registration.

First year students enrolled on Monday followed by continuing students on Tuesday which was the last day of registration. However, the registration is continuing today for students who arrived late due to airline travel problems.

The introduction of University 10 is among some of the recent investments DWU made in information and communication technology to enhance its teaching, research, administration and community engagement activities. Some of the other investments in ICT include the acquisition of “Turnitin”, an anti-plagiarism and proof-reading software, and the introduction of online teaching and learning as of this year.
