Doggies thrash dragons!

The Bulldogs have continued on their merry way to a clinical sixth straight win with a 38-6 thumping of a disappointing Dragons outfit at ANZ Stadium on Sunday.

Des Hasler's men deviated from the cliff-hanger script that has been the norm in a series of hard-fought wins over the past month, never looking like anything but victors as Tim Lafai marked a stellar return from concussion with his first hat-trick in the top grade.

For the Dragons, the impending addition of Benji Marshall to their attack cannot come soon enough based on their listless offensive effort, with a series of poor kicks from halves Gareth Widdop and Sam Williams repeatedly relieving pressure they could ill-afford to give up as the Bulldogs racked up a 22-0 half-time lead.

How to solve the defensive rot that has set in for the Dragons is a whole other question for Steve Price, with his charges now having conceded 72 points in their past two games against the Bulldogs and Roosters and slumping to their fifth loss in six starts.
