Discount fuel for Puma customers as 'thank you'

Puma Energy will restock its petrol supply to its service stations in Port Moresby tomorrow (September 23) says country manager Jim Collings.

Also customers will see a 10 toea per litre discount when refilling as a sign of thank you to its customers.

It will be a breath of relief for vehicle owners in the capital city who in the last three weeks have had to join long queues to get their vehicle petrol tanks filled, because only Mobil fuel stations were selling petrol.

“Petrol supply to the Port Moresby market was suspended on 2 September 2015, following the lack of liquidity in the foreign exchange market. However following diligent and productive work between Puma Energy, the Government, and the Central Bank (BPNG) since the suspension we have been able to attain a position that has allowed us to recommence supply,” Collings said in a statement this afternoon.

“We look forward to their continued support for a sustainable solution and to work together on an ongoing basis for the good of PNG and its people. “

“We appreciate that these were difficult times and in particular for our valued customers in Port Moresby and regret the inconvenience caused, by what was a difficult but a necessary decision.

“To show our gratitude to the public for their support and patience, we will be providing our Port Moresby retail customers with a 10 toea per litre discount for petrol and zoom at Puma Energy branded sites commencing Wednesday 23rd September, which will run for the next few days.”
