The SP Hunters suffered a disappointing 24-8 loss to the Norths Devils in the round 16 clash this afternoon at Bishop Park, Australia.
Taking a 14-2 at the break, the Devils ran in two more tries plus a penalty goal to seal the win.
The Hunters put themselves right back in the game 3 minutes into the second half when utility Noel Zeming dived over.
Zeming added the extras to narrow the deficit to 14-8. But that was all from the Hunters for the remainder of the game as the Devils dominated possession.
The win was sealed with two tries in the last 10 minutes to Jarryd Dodd and Matiu-Love Henry.
