Chrissy Teigen and Tyra Banks reveal fertility struggles

Celebrities are often asked fairly personal questions, and even those who choose to be candid with the media have some things they'd rather not discuss.

FABLife co-hosts Tyra Banks and Chrissy Teigen are two who have been pretty open with their lives both in interviews and on social media, but they each revealed something nobody knew about during a taping of the show today—they each struggle with fertility issues.

The question about Teigen and hubby John Legend's plan to have kids has been on everyone's minds since the two got together, and the supermodel explains that it's a very intrusive question to ask, and can be very hurtful when asked of a woman who's having a hard time.

"I will say, honestly, John and I are having trouble," Teigen confessed, adding that they've seen fertility doctors. "We would have kids five, six years ago if it'd happened," she added. "But my gosh, it's been a process!"

Chrissy continued, "So, anytime somebody asks me if I'm going to have kids, I'm like, 'One day, you're going to ask that to the wrong girl who's really struggling, and it's going to be really hurtful to them. And I hate that. So, I hate it. Stop asking me!'"

Interestingly enough, a woman who could relate to her was sitting right beside her. Banks kept the conversation going, telling the audience, "I am so tired of seeing on my social media, 'Why don't you have kids? Why don't you have kids?' You don't know. You don't know what I'm going through."

Tyra began to get emotional, but added, "When I was 23 years old, I used to tell myself, ‘In three years I'm gonna have kids.' Then I turned 24. ‘In three years I'm gonna have kids.' And then just every single year I kept saying that. And then, after a while it's like, OK, now I want to—and it's not so easy."
