Business heads to hear of new housing plan

A new housing estate is to be built on the outskirts of Port Moresby and developers will outline their hopes to a meeting of business leaders next week.

The meeting will be held at the Royal Papua Yacht Club on Thursday July 30.

It’s being organized by the Port Moresby Chamber of Commerce and Industry and starts at 7am.

The two speakers at the event will be: Edai Town Development Ltd director Ms Kym Yong, and BSP area manager for NCD, Mr Stanerd Wai.

Ms Yong is leading the development of Edai town as a “holistic planned mixed development’’ comprising residential, commercial and industrial real estate on 155 hectares of land held on  a state lease in the Central Province.

It is 20 kilometers from the city.
