Australia PM XIII team arrives this Thursday for match

The Australia Prime Minister’s XIII team arrives this Thursday for the match against the PNG side scheduled on Saturday, September 24, at the National Football Stadium in Port Moresby.

Leading up to the game, there’ll be a lineup of activities planned for the visitors, including a visit to the Bomana War Cemetery and the University of Papua New Guinea.

NRL.com reported that 10 members of the starting 13, named by coach Mal Meninga, have played either Test or Origin football.

PNG Rugby Football League has organised a welcome function on Thursday evening.

PNGRFL confirmed that both the PNG and Australia sides will have their captain’s run on Friday and the NGCB PNG PMXIII captain will be named on Friday evening.

The match officially kicks off at 4.30pm and will be televised live on TVWAN.

The PNG and New South Wales Under 16 teams will challenge as the curtain-raiser on game day.
