APTC graduates 150 students at Idubada

Australia Pacific Technical College (APTC) graduated 150 students this afternoon in Port Moresby.

They graduated under the courses of carpentry, commercial cookery, community services work, early childhood education and care, electro- technology electrician, engineering – fabrication trade, engineering- mechanical trade (diesel fitting), engineering- mechanical trade (fitting and machining), hospitality, light vehicle mechanical technology, tourism and youth work.

Of the 150 students, 37 were women who graduated in various  trades.

APTC chief executive officer Denise O’Brien praised the graduating students and reminding them that the qualification received is an Australian vocational recognised certificate.

Meanwhile, Australia High Commissioner to Papua New Guinea Bruce Davies challenged the graduates to develop an innovation and entrepreneur mindset to develop the country.    

Since ATPC’s establishment, 2045 PNG nations have graduated from APTC. 553 are females and 1492 males.
