National Parliament Speaker Theodore Zurenuoc has described the late Hela governor Anderson Pawa Agiru as the prophetic son sent by God to deliver Hela Province.
When handing over the body of the late governor to the Hela Provincial Government yesterday, Zurenuoc said the death of Agiru is a great loss to the people of Hela and the nation as a whole.
However, he said the death also is an example to the people of Hela and Southern Highlands to imitate his leadership and follow in his footsteps.
Zurenuoc described the occasion as a spiritual event where rain started pouring heavily when the body of the late governor was taken out of the plane towards the Andaija Oval.
“The heavens have shared our sorrow with the loss of this great leader.”
He called on the Hela people to work along with their leaders and bring Hela forward taking on from late governor.
The body of the late governor will be visiting the districts tomorrow and will be handed over to the immediate families next Monday.
His burial will be on Tuesday
