3rd ‘State of Origin experience’ winner unveiled

An early morning phone call this week gave Port Moresby’s Frank Charlie his ‘best breakfast of the year’.

The married father-of-one was at his kitchen table eating when he found out he will jet to Brisbane for the third game of the 2015 State of Origin series as winner of the TVWAN and Digicel Play Holden State of Origin competition.

The call came through from Yumi FM’s Sun Kamap show with DJ Bata Rat.

“I was having my breakfast when I got the call,” says Frank.

“But after the great announcement I had already lost my appetite to finish my breakfast.”

The 33-year-old wins flights to Brisbane, accommodation, two tickets to the State of Origin decider on July 8 and a ‘money can’t buy’ experience including an exclusive tour of Suncorp Stadium, access to the change rooms and some pre-game pep talk from Origin legends.

Digicel’s Head of Marketing Jack Bourke says Frank will enjoy the same ‘money can’t buy’ experience as winners of TVWAN’s State of Origin competition at games one and two.

“Frank will have the unique opportunity to get a photo taken on the field at Suncorp Stadium,” says Mr Bourke.

“This is the trip of a lifetime for State of Origin fans and one that money really can’t buy.”

This competition is part of the NRL, TVWAN and Digicel Play’s initiative to encourage participation in the proposed Voice Against Violence program and maximise engagement with the Papua New Guinea rugby league community.
