PLWD issues in quake areas

People living with disabilities and those who have been bedridden and or injured during the major February 26 earthquake are some of the worst affected victims.

This was the message sent by one Robert Hoey, who reached out to the Hela Earthquake Relief group.

He told them of how they only wanted a good shower with a piece of soap and a bucket of water.

Hoey also highlighted needs for tents and be taken to a secure place.

In light of this matter, the Gerehu General Hospital has come on board with donations of 50 wheelchairs and more than a hundred beds and linens.

These donations are now stored at the YES management warehouse with the rest of the donations from the Hela Earthquake Relief appeal drive.

They will be flown out anytime this week.
