Ginigoada sets big targets in 2017

The name Ginigoada means to ‘Stand Up Strong’, and the Ginigoada Foundation is living up to its name with some big targets in 2017.

With programs running in Port Moresby, Central Province and Lae, Morobe Province the Foundation expects to train more than 14,000 through the Mobile Skills

Training Programs and 1,800 in Short Term Skills Training Courses.

Currently Ginigoada has 14 Mobile skills Training Programs each
delivering a two week ‘course’ except for Buses 1, 6 and 7 deliver a month training in different  locations throughout the City in NCD (6)  and Lae (6). Central Province has  two Bus Programs (6 and 7).

1. Young Life Program (B1), 2. Young Skills Program (B2), 3. Life & Business Skills Program (B3), 4. Financial Skills Program (B4), 5. Health Skills Program (B5),

6. Adult Literacy Skills (B6), 7. Skills for Life (B7)

From 2010 to end of 2016, Ginigoada Foundation enrolled more than 71,000 participants into the various Mobile Training Courses and over 8,500 into Short Term Skills (Vocational) Training.

The Ginigoada Foundation targets the less fortunate in our communities but its training Program is always open to all.

There is no prior education requirement with Ginigoada and everyone is given the opportunity to attend the Mobile Training Course without discrimination.

The Ginigoada Foundation works to bring “Betterment of Life” to all of It’s participants through fresh training opportunities. 

To enroll into a Ginigoada Course is simple. Look for our Vans and ask the staff and they can be able to assist you or you can call into our office located at Salvation Army Building, Koki here in Port Moresby and or Butibam Resource Centre, Lae – Morobe Province.

Ginigoada also manages and operate the Meri Seif Bus program in partnership with UN Women International’ through its Safe Cities Program.

There are currently three buses servicing Port Moresby selected routes ferrying women and girls free of charge to their respective destination ensuring they are safely taken there.
