More than 1000 students are excitedly awaiting the grand opening of their teachers’ residence at the Kalamanagunan Primary School in East New Britain Province.
Today's event, described as a dream come true by sectional head teacher Brigitte Tiparo, will see the opening of 7 teachers’ houses.
The projects, funded by the Kokopo Development Authority, include a 5-in-1 complex and a duplex.
“A lot of our teachers live outside the school,”
Tiparo told Loop PNG. “We currently have 9 teachers’ houses and 39 teachers.
"This project is a great help to us. A blessing.”
The Governor has been listed as today's guest speaker.
One of the new buildings has been named after him.
