‘Biggest Morning Tea’ rebranded to ‘Let’s Talk Cancer’

The 2017 Let’s Talk Cancer (LTC) Campaign was launched by the Papua New Guinea Cancer Foundation (PNGCF) yesterday and will run from May to July.

Let’s Talk Cancer Campaign is a fun and easy way to start talking about cancer prevention by making healthy lifestyle choices.

PNGCF will distribute cancer awareness materials to assist host a Let’s Talk Cancer event in communities, business houses or with friends and family and start the conversation about cancer.

The campaign is also a major fundraising event for PNGCF.

PNG Cancer Foundation’s CEO, Dadi Toka Jr said PNGCF has re -branded the Biggest Morning Tea Campaign and launched it as the “Let’s Talk Cancer Campaign” to encourage Papua New Guineas to start talking about cancer and cancer prevention and making healthy lifestyle choices.

Businesses are urged to register to host their own “Let’s Talk Cancer” event and together, can start the conversation about cancer prevention”.

Smoking tobacco, chewing betel nut and consumption of alcohol are all scientifically proven to increase chances of getting some types of cancer including mouth, breast and cervical cancers.

Cancer can also be reduced by eating healthy and exercising regularly.
