Toastmasters recognises Oil Search

Oil Search has been recognised by global communication and leadership development organisation Toastmasters International (TI) for being committed to its programs in PNG.

The company announced this in a media release following a historic visit by TI President, Mike Storkey, who was in Port Moresby recently to recognise the efforts of the local TI club.

Stork presented two corporate trophies one of which was presented to the company for enhancing employee engagement through continuing support of Toastmasters Communication and Leadership Programs.

Oil Search Safety Trainer, Joseph Rangan, is one employee who has benefitted greatly from his involvement with the Toastmasters Club at Iagifu Ridge in Kutubu.

“This program has greatly improved my communication and leadership skills and I apply what I have learnt in Toastmasters to my daily tasks,” he said.

Jospeh has also been awarded two recognition certificates for exceptional achievements as a ‘Competent Communicator and Leader.’

TI is a non-profit educational organisation that helps members improve their communication, public speaking and leadership skills.

The organisation has more than 345,000 memberships in 142 countries.
