Link PNG’s first passenger service to Komo

Link PNG, a subsidiary of Air Niugini, will launch its first commercial passenger flights to Komo Airport, in Hela Province, effective, November 19th, 2019.

The flights will initially operate twice a week, every Tuesdays and Thursdays, departing Port Moresby at 10:15am and arriving in Komo at 11:45am. The return flight leaves Komo at 12:10pm, arriving back in Port Moresby by 1:40pm.

All flights will be operated by Link PNG’s 50 seat Dash 8-315 aircraft.

The inclusion of Komo now brings to total twelve Link PNG destinations.

Link PNG General Manager, Bruce Alabaster, said tickets for the Komo flight are already open for sale, and can be purchased at any Air Niugini Sales offices, including the airline sales office at Tari Airport or via both their rural sales agents and travel agents.

He further added that check-in for flights from Komo will be done at Komo Station.

“Only passengers with valid tickets will be issued boarding passes and will then be transported by bus to Komo Airport. Nobody can check-in directly at Komo Airport, and likewise arriving passengers will be transported to Komo Station to collect their bags.”

Link PNG is unable to provide transport between Tari and check-in at Komo Station.

All Link PNG services are operated by the airline’s Dash 8 fleet.
