K20,000 for HB appeal

Kumul Petroleum Holdings Limited (KPHL) has supported the Hanuabada village Fire Relief Committee with a K20,000 cheque to assist in rebuilding the lives of those that lost their homes.

KPHL Managing Director Wapu Sonk, when presenting the cheque recently, extended his sympathy at their loss of livelihood.

“As a corporate citizen, we have a social responsibility to the community we operate in, here in Port Moresby as well as in oil and gas field areas, and we feel obligated to help at this time of need for a lot of our people at Hanuabada village.”

He added that the national oil company has so for expanded substantial amount of funds into various communities and NGOs through various forms of assistance across the country, adding that KPHL is happy to join other corporate citizens, NGOs and individuals who are coming forward to assist in this relief effort.
