A follow up by police after the apprehending of a known criminal in the Nawaeb block late last month, has led to the discovery of a large catchment of explosives.
The escapee had been recaptured on October 30th.
Police later confiscated a carton of detonators at his parents' house at the block.
The detonators are alleged to be part of a large amount of explosives belonging to a road construction company, which had ceased operations back in 20-13, in Simbu and Eastern Highlands.
