Yangoru Saussia

The bridge is 55 metres long, and is located in the Numbo Local Level Government in the Yangoru Saussia District. It will provide significant ease of transportation to the 20,000 local population and the traveling public.

Secretary for the Department of National Planning and Monitoring, Koney Samuel, visited the project site over the weekend with local Member Richard Maru and District Administrator Jacob Yafai. 

 He said eligible students whose parents live in the rural communities or whose parents are public servants working in the Yangoru Saussia District should apply for the subsidy.

Kesemba is located in East Yangoru LLG of the Yangoru-Saussia District of East Sepik Province.

Local MP and Minister for Trade, Commerce and Industry Richard Maru opened his people’s early Christmas present on Monday, with fanfare as the villagers showed their appreciation with traditional singings and celebrations.

The 7km road built at a cost of K150,000 was funded by the National Government now links Kesemba to Munji along the main Sepik Highway.   

Maru when opening the road, told his people to choose good leaders to see changes in their area.
