The havoc caused after the company released a bad update on April 24, which was pulled after approximately 15 minutes. But that still hasn't stopped some PCs from receiving it, causing serious issues for not just individuals, but also companies and organizations relying on the software.

According to the reports by many customers on social media and Webroot's forum, hundreds and even thousands of systems were broken down after antivirus software flagged hundreds of benign files needed to run Windows and apps that run on top of the operating system.

The Raspberry Pi Foundation has released an experimental version of its lightweight Linux-based Debian operating system called PIXEL OS that can run on most standard desktop computers ships with Windows and Mac OS X without the need of a Raspberry Pi.

Initially launched in September this year, the PIXEL operating system, stands for "Pi Improved Xwindows Environment, Lightweight," was originally designed to work with Raspberry Pi to turn it into a fully-functional PC.

They will contribute their efforts to the development of the GL Transmission Format (glTF) open project. This will bring the glTF to Windows as part of the Creators update in 2017.

The glTF is a runtime asset delivery format for Graphics Library (GL) APIs like OpenGL, OpenGL ES, WebGL. It has been brought into existence to bridge the gap between 3D content creation tools and modern GL applications. It can be understood as the JPEG of 3D.

Due to the rise in popularity of Mac OS X and other Windows desktop alternatives, hackers have begun designing cross-platform malware modularly for wide distribution.

Cross-platform malware is loaded with specialized payloads and components, allowing it to run on multiple platforms.

One such malware family has recently been discovered by researchers at Kaspersky Lab, which run on all the key operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X.

Lee compared the processing power of his Apple device to that of home computer storage in the '90s, and explained how he managed to achieve the hack.

"Long story short, it's possible to patch certain files within a WatchKit app to load your own application code rather than Apple's," he explained.

With a 520 MHz processor, 512 MB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage, the power of the Apple Watch far outweighs the power of a '90s computer, which could have up to 500MB of internal storage.
