Morris in race to make New Zealand game

Hopefully this can be in time for him to race over to New Zealand to join his Canterbury teammates for Friday night's crucial match against the Warriors.

Morris, along with fellow Canterbury NSW representatives Josh Jackson and David Klemmer, was booked into accommodation near Sydney airport following Wednesday night's Origin clash with a view to flying out early on Thursday to join teammates.

However Morris said his fate was in the hands of Bulldogs club doctor Joe Lombardo with the winger needing to get through post-game recovery and assessment to even make his flight.

Durant: Curry played like a big dog

Curry put up just 14 points in a disappointing game four of the Finals at Quicken Loans Arena – he only scored fewer points in eight games across the regular season and playoffs – but claimed a 34-point double-double as the Warriors clinched a 4-1 series win on Monday.

His response earned high praise from team-mate Durant, who has been impressed by how much he much he is willing to sacrifice for the team.

Durant and Curry sink LeBron's Cavs as Warriors reclaim NBA championship

Golden State fought off a charge from defending champions the Cavaliers on Monday to earn their second NBA championship in three seasons with a 129-120 game-five victory.

High-profile recruit Durant was the difference as the Warriors wrapped up a 4-1 series triumph on home court in Oakland.

Durant – who swapped the Oklahoma City Thunder for the Warriors in search of an elusive title – scored 39 points on 14 of 20 shooting with seven rebounds and five assists.

The 2014 MVP's length and shooting ability was too much for Cleveland's overmatched defence.

Warriors release Lolohea

The 22-year-old had been included on the bench for tonight's NRL game against the Broncos in Auckland but this morning the Warriors said he wouldn't play after farewelling teammates and staff yesterday.

Lolohea had asked for to be let go and the club had agreed to release him with a 18 months left on his contract.

"Tui and his management recently asked us for permission to talk to other clubs about a possible move and have since requested an early release from the rest of his contract," said Vodafone Warriors recruitment and development manager Tony Iro.

Foran says Warriors aren't done yet

With four wins from 11 in 2017, the Warriors are well on track for a sixth straight year without NRL finals football - despite recruiting Kiwis playmaker Foran and coach Stephen Kearney in the off-season.

But with State of Origin season nigh, the Warriors have a golden opportunity to pick up the slack against an understrength Brisbane Broncos on Saturday.

Playmaker Anthony Milford, skipper Darius Boyd and bullish second-rower Matt Gillett will all miss their side's trans-Tasman trip on Queensland duty, as will Corey Oates, Josh McGuire and veteran Sam Thaiday.

Warriors expect hungry baby Broncos

Without seven frontline players - six away on State of Origin duty with Queensland and hooker Andrew McCullough out with concussion - coach Wayne Bennett has called upon a number of youngsters and players outside of his first-choice 17.

But Warriors standoff Kieran Foran said there was no chance his side would allow complacency to creep into their game, following back-to-back defeats which has seen them drop to 14th on the ladder.

Warriors: One half won't define our season

Leading 28-6 at the break, the Kiwi side gave up five tries in the second 40 minutes to lose 36-28 at Pepper Stadium, and now sit four spots outside of the top eight heading into Round 11.

But while acknowledging the disappointing nature of the performance, coach Stephen Kearney said he was focussed on moving on quickly ahead of hosting the St George Illawarra Dragons at FMG Stadium Waikato in Hamilton on Friday night.

"I'm not going to let 33 minutes [take away from] the work we have done the last six or seven games," Kearney said.

Shaun Johnson re-signs with Warriors

Johnson, 26, has re-signed with the team trough to the end of the 2019 NRL season.

He said he was thrilled to settle his future with the club in what he regards as the most important contract of his career so far.

"This was a big contract for a lot of reasons and I'm excited to be able to lock it away and know I'll be here for another two years.

"My belief in this club is massive and my belief that we can do something special here is bigger than ever with everything we have in place," Johnson said.

Foran's Bulldogs deal one step closer

With Reynolds' NRL future uncertain after the Bulldogs were linked with Foran, a deal worth a reported $3.2 million was too much to resist for the fiery No.6.

The Dogs had in the past few weeks been deep in negotiations with the former NSW playmaker but admitted they were unable to match the money on offer from the Tigers, who have entered the market aggressively after the loss of Mitchell Moses, Aaron Woods and James Tedesco.

The NRL's player musical chairs is now in full swing with Foran expected to soon join Woods at the Dogs under respected coach Des Hasler.

Warriors not giving up on Foran

Reports in Australia say Foran will move back to Australia next year and is set to sign a three year deal with the Canterbury Bulldogs.

Foran was signed by the Warriors for this season after leaving Parramatta due to personal issues.

But Warriors chief executive Jim Doyle said his Bulldogs counterpart Raelene Castle texted him late on to deny reports the club had reached an agreement with Foran.
