An independence special set to air on the eve of independence will give you this opportunity.

TVWAN Independence Jam will feature various talents within the television company as well as staff from Digicel PNG.

Groups and individuals will perform PNG hits from the past or originals to go in line with PNG’s independence. These performances will be accompanied by the studiowan band.

There will also be quiz time based on PNG history. But the focus on the program, according to producer Armstrong Gomara, is music.

This weekend we have a variety of specials that will premiere on TVWAN Action. These specials include the Justin Olam story and a review of the PNG Hunters games in 2016. Gear up for the rugby season by watching these specials on TVWAN Action. We also feature some of the drama series on TVWAN Life that we know you can’t get enough of. Digicel Play’s advanced technology and multiple camera interaction continues to capture the excitement of the game providing people at home with the entire close up action. 

The Digicel Play broadcasting team has extensive experience having broadcasted all Hunters home games, Digicel Cup matches and some major international day and night matches, including the live telecast of the 2016 SP Export Radler PNG Open last weekend at the Royal Port Moresby Golf Club. 

With over 25, 000 entries from the subscribers, the winner is yet to be contacted and announced as they must have a play box and a passport to be considered eligible.

Chief executive officer for Digicel TV Ralph Siebenaler was proud to press  the magic button to generate the draw for the competition.

This includes the rights to broadcast the NRL Premiership League, the State Of Origin, the All Stars match, the ANZAC test and the Under 20s competition from now until the end of 2017.

Select NRL matches will be broadcasted starting this weekend on the new TVWAN Rugby Channel.

Taking place every 4 years, the RWC 2015 is hosted in England and Wales from September 18th to November 1st.

The RWC is watched by over 4 billion viewers, and ranks as one of the world’s top 5 sporting events, alongside rivals, FIFA World Cup and the Olympics.
