Tupac

Tupac 'alive and making new music', says Suge Knight's son

The acclaimed 'Dear Mama' rapper was infamously murdered in a drive-by shooting in 1996, but has been the subject of many conspiracy theories since.

Suge Knight ran Death Row records, to which Tupac was signed, and was with the rapper when he was killed - but in recent years claimed the shooting wasn't fatal.

Now his son, Suge J Knight, has taken to Instagram to claim Tupac is making new tracks.

"I got Pac back in the studio. New music coming," says the post, which is captioned: "This ain't a joke. New Death Row? Coming soon."

Race factored into Tupac and Madonna breaking up

In a note to Madonna, reportedly written by Shakur while he was serving time in prison in 1995, he acknowledges ending their romantic relationship because of her race.

"For you to be seen with a black man wouldn't in any way jeopardize your career, if anything it would make you seem that much more open and exciting," Tupac wrote. "But for me at least in my previous perception I felt due to my 'image' that I would be letting down half of the people who made me what I thought I was."

Trailer for new Tupac film, All Eyez On Me, is released

All Eyez On Me is a dramatisation of the rapper's life, telling the true story of his rise to fame to his controversial years at the top.

It will also focus on his highly publicised death.

He's sold millions of records all around the world and on Friday became only the sixth rapper to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Demetrius Shipp Jr. plays the role of Tupac in the film and it's his first big part.

Danai Gurira, from the Walking Dead, also plays Tupac's Mum.
