Eels admit their heads weren't in the game

Looking to become the first Parramatta team to win their first three games of the season in almost 25 years, the Eels shot out of the blocks to lead by 12 points after just 17 minutes yet could only add a solitary penalty goal to their score over the next 63 minutes of the game.

Mannah and Scott appointed Parramatta Eels co-captains

Coach Brad Arthur also appointed an eight-man leadership group for the first time in the club's history.

The group includes Scott and Mannah, Corey Norman, Frank Pritchard, Issac De Gois, Tepai Moeroa, Manu Ma'u and Michael Jennings and will play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards and a strong culture on and off the field.

"Beau and Tim are admired and respected by their teammates and coaches alike and I look forward to working closely with them over the course of the season," Arthur said.

Mannah signs new Eels deal

"Tim's contribution to the team and to the club over the last eight years can never be undervalued,” Eels coach Brad Arthur said.

"His level of experience and commitment to Parramatta will continue to help, guide, and develop the next generation of players in our club."

Resilient Eels target Newcastle rebound

Parramatta's season has been littered with indiscretions and long-term Eel Mannah is hoping the positive space they've created at training will translate to results on the field.

The Eels have lost their past two games since the club's salary cap punishment was handed down but it won't hinder the spirit of the playing group according to Mannah.
