Princess Diana documentary relives the worst of the royal family

It was promoted as the princess at her "most candid, natural and charismatic".

There was plenty of emotional music, news clips, quotes from close friends and of course the tapes she'd recorded with her voice coach.

It was also brutally raw in parts.

And as it was being aired The Sun newspaper was reporting more salacious details that it says came from a BBC cameraman.

The Sun reports: "Princess Diana claimed she once spied on Prince Charles on the toilet having 'phone sex talk' with his now wife Camilla Parker Bowles."

The international a-peel of Aussie television's top bananas

Which Australian icons would you say are the most internationally recognised? At the closing ceremony of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, the organisers wheeled out the likes of golfing great Greg Norman on top of a giant shark on wheels, and model Elle MacPherson. But between their floats, out came three teddy bears, one rat and two bananas on a staircase.

Bananas in Pyjamas celebrate 25 years of chasing teddies

ABC TV's Bananas in Pyjamas is celebrating 25 years, and to mark the occasion the Royal Australian Mint has launched a commemorative coloured coin set.

The 20 cent and 5 cent pieces feature images of the twin Bananas and Rat-in-a-Hat.

"It's the first time we've had colour on a 5 cent piece," Mint CEO Ross MacDiarmid said.

The Bananas in Pyjamas first aired on Australian television in 1992 as a live-action series featuring B1 and B2 and teddy bears Lulu, Morgan and Amy.

'Young Sheldon' trailer will tug your heartstrings

CBS on Wednesday unveiled the first look at "Young Sheldon," a series that follows the popular "Big Bang Theory" character as a train-loving genius growing up in east Texas with his mother, father, brother and twin sister.

Iain Armitage plays the character, who in the mothership series is portrayed by Jim Parsons.

Speaking to advertisers at the network's Upfront presentation at Carnegie Hall, Parsons described the show as "a little bit 'Wonder Years,' a little bit 'Doogie Howser.'"

Parsons lends his voice to the series as narrator.

Megan McKenna: I regret having sex on TV

The star made her name appearing on TV shows like Towie and Celebrity Big Brother but has told Newsbeat she regrets some of her earlier antics.

"I wish I hadn't got intimate on TV but he [her partner] was my boyfriend," she says.

The 24-year-old featured on two series of Ex on the Beach - where couples and singles share a luxury villa.

"The show wasn't the route I wanted to go down. It [sex] is normal - I just had a camera on me," she said.

Not long after filming stopped, Megan and Jordan separated despite getting engaged in the series finale.

Ballarat keeps Doctor Blake alive as ABC kills off crime series

Locals and tourists alike crane past barriers to get a glimpse of the filming for ABC TV's The Doctor Blake Mysteries.

But not this year.

The soon-to-be-aired fifth season of the murder mystery drama will be the last after the ABC announced the cancellation of the show earlier in the year.

Set in Ballarat in the 1950s, The Doctor Blake Mysteries follow the travails of a country doctor and his housekeeper who are drawn in to solve crimes that often stump the local police.

Monkey (Magic): Here's why '80s kids loved the original TV show

That sentence will either get you jumping up to start shadow kung-fu fighting the person closest to you, cause you to break out into kitschy song or make you go, "pardon?".

There are basically two types of people in the world; those whose childhood afternoons were spent watching Monkey and those who have no idea what's going on right now.

If you're part of the former group, prepare for a walk down memory lane. If you're in the latter, you are about to get educated.

Why are we suddenly talking about Monkey?

'Girlboss' designs flimsy coming-of-age story

Yet "Girlboss," her solo vehicle, represents a flawed design, as this Netflix half-hour about a conflicted 20-something at best feels like a diluted version of "Girls."

Adapted from Sophia Amoruso's book, "Girlboss" bills itself as a "real loose" retelling of real events. The series focuses on Sophia (Robertson), aimlessly living in San Francisco in 2006, when she seizes on the idea of reselling vintage clothing online under the company name Nasty Gal.

'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' teaser trailer lands in our galaxy

The trailer followed a panel with the film's stars, director Rian Johnson and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy that took place at the massive "Star Wars" fan gathering, Star Wars Celebration, in Orlando, Florida.
