Super 7s Brisbane tournament

In the qualifying final yesterday, the Palais fell short going down to Wales 22-7, but bounced back in the afternoon with a 22-10 win over Poland.

Australia won the Super 7s tournament with a 24-10 over Fiji in the Cup final.

The two-day tournament held over the weekend had the participation of 12 international teams including Fiji, Spain, Japan, South Africa and PNG.

The Palais will now look forward to improve before the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series 2018 - Hong Kong in April of this year.

In results from yesterday’s round robin matches:

South Africa def. PNG Palais 22-0, England def. PNG Palais 57-0 and Sweden def. PNG Palais 32-0.

In the other qualifying finals today, Sweden will take on Poland at 12pm, England will do battle with France starting at 12:44pm and USA and South Africa have a date at 1:06pm.
