Star Mountains Pays Landowners Dividend

This is part of the dividend proceeds from the MRSM’s 9 per cent equity in the Ok Tedi Mine Limited (OTML) for 2020. This payment is by far the biggest dividend payment made by MRSM.

 

Under the Revised Benefit Sharing Agreement decision of May 22, the disbursement of this K19.4 million was distributed as cash payments to the 12 Ok Tedi Landowning villages.

 

Highlands Pacific reacquire interest

This follows the announcement by joint venture partner Anglo American to withdraw.

In a statement on the Port Moresby Stock Exchange (POMSOX), Anglo American has given notice that it will withdraw in 30 days and will relinquish its vested 15 percent holding in the project, leaving Highlands with a 100 percent interest.

PNG mineral prospects high

The Minerals Resources Authority said positivity remains high following the registration of the Frieda River and Wafi-Golpu SMLs and the entry of Anglo American, as reported in the Mining and Petroleum Review (Vol.4 Issue 3).
