Hunters come back to beat Pride

The home side were determined to cause another upset and showed it stalling the PNG boys 12-0 after seven minutes.

The Hunters fought back just after the 20 minute mark through Wartovo Puara Jr.

The score at half-time was left at 12-4.

Northern Pride extended their lead to 14-4 in the 47th minute after JordanĀ  Biondi-Odo converted a penalty to make it three from three for the night.

Then the Hunters took the lead when Bland Abavu (60) and Israel Eliab (72) crossed.

The visitors made their intentions known as early as the 3rd minute when halfback Michael Burgess spun out of a tackle, kicked for himself and scored near the posts.

With no Ase Boas, the Hunters struggled.

Poor ball control was again an issue for the Hunters who couldn't complete their sets.

The Seagulls hurt the Hunters at two minutes out from half-time after Damian Sironen crossed.

The kick from Lindon McGrady was good putting the lead out to 12-0.
