BPNG warns against money scams

He said BPNG does not do banking for individuals and groups.

You see them meeting, almost every day, in groups around Port Moresby’s parks.

They are part of so called financial groups, which targets individuals to register and contribute certain capital, for that big ‘payout’- something many will not get.

Central Bank governor, Loi Bakani, on Friday warned the public of such scams and impersonators.

Duo entangled in alleged fruit-picking scam

Norbeth Petol and Darusila Henry arrived in Port Moresby on Tuesday and told their story.

A story of big dreams that got shattered by empty promises from an alleged scam.

Even more worrying is that, both aren’t the only ones scammed, three others have come forward, confirming the story and how all of them have spent hundreds of kina with hopes of earning more money from fruit picking in Australia.

‘Is Konebada Petroleum Park Authority a scam?’

The article revealed that there is a possible large scale scam that affects land belonging to customary landowners in the Port Moresby LNG corridor, which falls within the administrative authority of KPPA.

The role of the KPPA is to facilitate, regulate and manage the park, this includes planning and coordinating development through engagement of current and future stakeholders and bringing in investment.
