Horizon open to export gas to Aust

While a final investment decision is yet to be made on the Western Foreland Gas Fields commercialisation project to meet global LNG demands, Horizon has been approached to consider the Australian East coast market.

CEO Brent Emmet is reported to have told Energy News last month that he has been asked and he would consider the proposal.

While the plan was initially to service eastern Indonesia and the countries along the rim of the South China Sea, Emmett has since expanded the radar to potential LNG distribution points to northern and eastern Australia.

KPH staff to undergo master’s program in Spain

Both candidates were accepted into the Centro de Formacion de Repsol campus, out of thousands of applications from around the world, to undertake the Masters in Oil and Gas Exploration and Production program.

Yakap, from Laiagap in Enga Province, says he is excited about the opportunity to learn in Spain and that it was too good to be true.

Graduating from the University of Technology as a mechanical engineer, his program will focus on Master in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Management.

KPHL staff to study in prestigious program

Petroluem Engineer, Zachariah Yakap, and Geologist, Elliona Maso, from Kumul Petroluem Holdings Limited (KPHL)have been selected out of hundreds of applicants around the world to study at the Centro de Formacion de Repsol, Madrid.

The prestigious Masters Programs in Oil and Gas Exploration is sponsored by Repsol, South Africa’s largest oil company.

KPHL Managing Director, Wapu Sonk, thanked Repsol for sponsoring both staff of the organization saying it is in line with KPHL’s strategy of building the Kumul Petroluem Academy.
