Unitech registration more convenient

This year, instead of hosting the process inside poorly ventilated buildings, the PNG University of Technology in Lae’s Taraka campus has opted to set up outside instead.

With natural ventilation and more breathing space, students are comfortably seated under marquees, waiting for their turn to register.

Another first for Unitech this year is the new payment option that they have adopted; BSP Pay.

As long as the customer has BSP mobile banking, they can pay for tuition fees using BSP Pay.

Bulolo registers for Momase regional games

The Momase Regional Youth Games will be hosted in Madang District from September 25th – 30th.
Bulolo district manager, Frazer Peter said Bulolo was prepared in advance when they initially received advice from the Morobe Sports Division to conduct its District Games in December 2022 in preparation for the Morobe Games in 2023.

“We conducted competitions for a number of codes and that’s when we selected our best athletes. Today we have a full squad ready for either the Provincial or Regional Games,” said Peter.

Total outage at NID haus

Acting Registrar General, Noel Mobiha, today explained the glitch in the system.

He said the outage is due to an overload of the system, causing a shutdown since last week.

“We lost the capability to have our staff here register onto the main body now, getting through the window to getting some work for the registrations,” Mobiha said.

Power outage is also believed to be the reason behind the glitch.

“Our registration numbers went beyond what was known for the systems.”
