Warriors and Royals level 14-14 in final round of PRL

It was a close encounter as the A Grade players braved the Moresby heat to put up a good challenge.

Warriors were the first to score, 4-0 through Junex Steven ten minutes into the first half followed by another try, making it  8-0 through Simpi Fred five minutes later.

Both tries were followed by unsuccessful conversions.   

Royals fought hard to score their first try minutes to half time,  taking the score up to 8-6 at the break.

Oro Butterflies move closer to finals in Pom league

Butterflies defeated Paga Panthers 18-4 today in the A Grade division at the Murray Barracks oval in the final round of the competition.

In the hot weather and strong winds, Butterflies didn’t let the dry conditions stop them from scoring four tries to Panthers’ one try.

Butterflies were the first to score through Jeromy Benny followed by a successful conversion  which had them leading 6-0 just ten minutes into the game.

Butterflies took advantage of Panthers’ weak defence to score another try through captain Moses Mosmina.
