Madang Governor assures on Police Barracks

Madang Governor Ramsy Pariwa has assured police that they will look into this project to ensure police are adequately housed.

Pariwa had secured a K10m from a budget submission to the National Government last year for the construction of a new police barracks and was approved.

The first K5 million of this money had already been released and he now anticipates the remaining balance to be remitted in order for him to begin ground work in securing a contractor to start building.

Police Barracks for Kagua

Kagua Erave is known for its notoriety and when the provincial government set out its priorities, it prioritised law and order for this district.

The barracks, built at a cost of 10 million kina was opened on Wednesday.

And that’s not all, a K2 million district office complex was also opened. This building was also funded by the provincial government.

A total of K20.5 million will have been invested in this district by the provincial government by the end of this parliament term.
