PNG U20 women soccer team

Papua New Guinea today has finally named its 21-U20 women’s squad from the 26 men train on squad.

The list has been announced after months of intensive training in Goroka camp, friendlies against Japan and New Zealand and overseas exposure trials in New Zealand and the United States.

The team includes;  

A number of Papua New Guinea talented young girls from the age of six- to 24 showed up to participate in the program that aimed at promoting and empowering as many young girls as possible and to encourage more women and girls to participate in football.

Children, especially girls from primary schools in Goroka came to participate in the program where they took part in two hours of football skills lessons taught by coaches and the PNG U20 women.
