PNG Energy Workers Association president Eddie Gisa after the signing said the binding agreement protected workers and also established a good working relationship for the union and PPL management.
“The actual agreement now makes everybody more comfortable, because if you don’t have an agreement it makes everybody insecure in terms of employment, benefits and entitlements,” Gesa said.
“So now we have tied the agreement down for another three years in that manner it protects the employees for the next three years.
