PNG embassy

This is due to the current situation where Israel is in a state of war since the attacks conducted against it by the Palestinian group, Hamas, on 7 October 2023.

Two officers of the Department of Foreign Affairs who were assigned to set up the Embassy following its opening in September this year, departed Israel on 17 October 2023, in view of the security concerns there.

During the visit on Tuesday, the group discussed ways sports can help youth learn key values, leadership, teamwork and conflict resolution.

The courageous 9 high school students have been brave travellers in the cold to pay a visit to Tilden Middle School in Bethesda, Maryland, where they met with students of various abilities.

At the end of their visit, these amazing young women had made new friends and learned the importance of being gentle, patient and understanding with those who have special needs.

Prime Minister, Peter O’Neill made this announcement recently in a media conference in Da Nang city, Vietnam during the Asia Pacific Economic Corporation (APEC).

O’Neill said the Vietnamese had similar living standards to PNG and it will be more fitting to have our presence in Vietnam.

He added that Vietnam has a young population with hard working people where PNG can learn a lot from them.

The PM said discussions about the establishment of the embassy will be discussed further with the Vietnamese leaders.
