Polye in a statement described the welcome ceremony as something that will not empower Peter O'Neil or anyone else to become Prime Minister, describing invocations of ancestral spirits as calling on something that does not exist. Polye also described the ceremony as hocus-pocus to deceive the PNC Party and Peter O’Neill’s followers. 
 

They include Charles Abel, Alfred Manase, Petrus Thomas and Elias Kapavore.

This was announced following the swearing in of National Alliance Party Leader, Patrick Pruaitch, and his Deputy, Timothy Masiu, as Ministers as well as United Resources Party Parliamentary Leader, William Duma, and his Deputy Jelta Wong.

Pruaitch now takes on the Foreign Affairs and International Trade portfolio, Masiu as Communication and Information Minister, while Duma has been allocated the Commerce and Industry Portfolio, and Wong as Health & HIV/AIDS Minister.

Speaking in Port Moresby, Davis said he was also humbled to be mandated again by his people.

He said although the elections were affected by weather as well as other administrative issues, his people turned out in numbers to vote.

Davis is one of 10 People’s National Congress (PNC) Party members to be re-elected to Parliament.

He is the outgoing Minister for Civil Aviation. His tenure ends at the return of writs on July 24^th.

In a media conference today, Polye alleges the the use of state resources and funds goes to assist PNC election campaigns in the context of  project launchings and openings.

Polye cited the use of the Falcon Jet, allowances to public servants and police who travel, the hiring of helicopters to and from remote areas.

“The cheques are coming out of Treasury. The cheques are coming out of finance. The cheques are coming out of the Prime Ministers Department. So I’ve got facts to prove this,” Polye said.
