PNGOC suspends Taekwondo PNG

This is the third time the Taekwondo Federation has been suspended.

Institution offers second chance to athletes

But, that however, is no longer a concern under the Athletes Excellence Program which is supported by the Institute of Business Studies (IBS) through the Papua New Guinea Olympic Committee (PNGOC).

The programme aims to offer elite PNG athletes the opportunity to obtain educational qualifications through the IBS Diploma and Certificate courses.

These educational qualifications will contribute to their development as individuals and lead them into a successful professional career after their sporting endeavours.

PNGOC deliver bed sheets to POMGH

The presentation was made by members of the PNG Athletes Commission, Power Lifter Linda Pulsan and Paralympian, Francis Kompaon.

The brand new sheets are from the 2015 Pacific Games. The donation was a fitting gesture as a way to say thank you as the PMGH also served as the emergency referral hospital during the Pacific Games.

“The hospital needs all the help it can get to care for our people and we hope that these bed sheets can contribute to that in some way.
