Qandeel Baloch: Cleric who appeared in selfies investigated

Ms Baloch, a controversial figure known for her outspoken posts and suggestive photos and videos, posted selfies with Mufti Abdul Qavi last month.

He was suspended from two important councils as a result.

Ms Baloch, 26, was strangled by her brother Waseem early on Saturday in their hometown of Multan.

He admitted the apparent "honour killing", saying it was justified.

The cleric has denied any role in the murder but says he will appear for questioning if summoned by police.

Pakistan blast leave several dead at Multan bus station

Officials say the explosion happened when a motorcycle hit a motorised rickshaw at the busy bus stop, causing a large fire.

Police believe one of the vehicles was carrying explosives but forensic teams are still investigating.

Ball bearings were recovered from the site of the explosion.

Local media quoted officials as saying that a bomb was fitted to the motorcycle, but one police official said that a bomb was remotely detonated.

No group has said it carried out an attack.

In a televised address, Ashraf Ghani also blamed neighboring Pakistan for what he described as Islamabad's support to the insurgents whose war against Kabul is now nearing its 14th year, and said he was sending a delegation to Islamabad later this week to demand a stop to this.

Death toll from Pakistan flash floods rises to 118

The National Disaster Management Authority said the flooding has affected more than 800,000 people in 2,275 villages. About 2,900 houses have collapsed or are partially damaged.

The northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province is the worst affected, with 59 deaths reported there, according to NDMA's statement. The Pakistani part of Kashmir and southern part of eastern Punjab province each reported 22 deaths.

He said another 38 people died in various parts of the Sindh province and the death toll could further rise in the coming days.

Pakistan-Zimbabwe game to proceed despite suicide bombing

Zimbabwe will go ahead with their third and final one-day international against Pakistan on Sunday at the Gaddafi Stadium despite security concerns after a suicide bomber blew himself up close to the stadium on Friday night during the second ODI.

"The incident hasn't affected the tour and Zimbabwe will play its last match of the tour as planned," PCB spokesman Agha Akbar told The Associated Press on Saturday.
