Hagohohe MP in AROB sees tourism potential

This message is from the Member for Hagogohe Constituency in the Autonomous Bougainville Government Robert Hamal Sawa.

Speaking to Loop PNG in Buka the member said tourism has the potential of drawing in millions into the region apart from mining and cash crops.

“As a three term member of parliament, I have realised tourism has a real potential for development and for income generation,” Sawa said.

Artists gear up for Festival of Pacific Arts

The artists selected by Creative New Zealand represent a wide range of artforms such as clay artistry, waka navigation, kapa haka, contemporary music, moving imagery, spoken poetry and theatre.

The festival - which happens every four years - brings together more than 2000 artists from 27 Pacific countries.

A musician and producer, Matthew Faiumu Salapu, also known as Anonymouz, makes soundscapes - music that incorporates sound from the environment to tell a story.
