Grandmother ordered to delete Facebook photos under GDPR

It ended up in court after a falling-out between the woman and her daughter.

The judge ruled the matter was within the scope of the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

One expert said the ruling reflected the "position that the European Court has taken over many years".

The case went to court after the woman refused to delete photographs of her grandchildren which she had posted on social media.

The mother of the children had asked several times for the pictures to be deleted.

Peerless USA's dominance continues

Megan Rapinoe's penalty and Rose Lavelle's fine run and finish gave the defending champions victory in the second half, after resilient first-half defending from the Dutch.

Veteran winger Rapinoe's calmly-slotted opener came from a spot-kick awarded after a video assistant referee (VAR) review, at the end of a tournament in which the system has been a major talking point.

Dutch recall Van Persie, Babel

Van Persie's last outing for the Oranje came in October 2015, when he scored his 50th international goal in a 3-2 defeat to Czech Republic.

Babel's time out of the side goes back much further to a 3-0 friendly loss against Germany in November 2011.

The Besiktas winger expressed his frustration at being left out for Netherlands' end-of-season friendlies against Morocco and Ivory Coast but has won the nod from head coach Dick Advocaat this time around.

Netherlands 5 Ivory Coast 0: Veltman the unlikely hero for Oranje

The Ajax defender had yet to score for the national team coming into the game, but opened his account early on with a good header from a corner.

Arjen Robben doubled the lead with a penalty before Veltman got his second of the evening after another corner, with Davy Klaassen and Vincent Janssen completing the scoring after the break.

The win comes as a welcome boost for Netherlands ahead of Friday's World Cup qualifier against Luxembourg, for which Dick Advocaat will be in charge following Fred Grim's interim stint.

She then flew to Amsterdam, via Iceland, by herself.

Drinking water doesn't prevent a hangover, study says

Instead, a study concluded, the only way to prevent a hangover is to drink less alcohol.

More than 800 students were asked how they tried to relieve hangover symptoms, but neither food nor water was found to have any positive effect.

The findings are being presented at a conference in Amsterdam.

A team of international researchers from the Netherlands and Canada surveyed students' drinking habits to find out whether hangovers could be eased or if some people were immune to them.
