Laulu Primary school gets support

The funding support of K5,000 was presented to school board members and will go towards the completion of a new classroom for the school.

Nawaeb MP Theo Pelgen and NDDA members were present at the school to officiate at the opening of a new teacher’s house funded through DSIP allocations.

“Laulu Lutheran Primary School is to be considered for Junior High School status and therefore its existing infrastructure must be looked at and funded to cater for the transition if it happens,” he said.

Nawaeb District for impact projects

Nawaeb MP, Theo Pelgen made this assurance after meeting with Prime Minister James Marape, Fisheries and Marine Minister Jelta Wong and Forests Minister Sailo Waipo, after the Parliament meeting on Thursday 10th August.

MP Pelgen said the top of the agenda would be the groundbreaking of the multi-million kina Redevelopment of the Nawaeb District Headquarters at Boana Station.

He said Nawaeb is thankful to have been given a K5 million funding commitment and approval from Morobe Governor Luther Wenge.

Nawaeb sets sight on ambitious cocoa project

The initiative taken by Nawaeb District lead consulting team, Allied Sustainable Agribusiness, a subsidiary of Allied PNG Group will see more than first 1000 hybrid clone cocoa seedlings to be planted at Ward 17, Ahi Rural LLG near Bumayong. 
 
Already the first purchased clone hybrid seedlings were planted last week at the identified project site. 
 
Two Agriculture Scientists engaged to oversee the project, Jackson Bee and Pipi Yagamindi brought together the first seedlings to the project site for planting. 
 

Wain-Erap projects opened

Acting secretary of the Department of Provincial and Local-level Government Affairs, Joe Warus, said in collaboration with the Department of National Planning, they have allocated K1.5 million to fund those projects, which will include three staff houses as well.

“This came under our ‘District Town Improvement Program’. This money helps districts and towns. One of those we can see now is the building and power line that we brought in.

Launching of Nawaeb law, order project

This follows a launch on January 29th by Morobe Governor, Ginson Saonu.

The Nawaeb District village court/law and order rehabilitation project will encompass a new building for village court officials of Nabak.

Labuta LLG will host a police post for Morobe Province police reservists.

The project is a partnership of the Morobe Provincial Government and the Nawaeb District Development Authority.
